Eligible repair costs are reimbursed under the Chill-Pro® program, giving you and your customers added peace of mind.
Service agreements drive steady, recurring revenue—but a single high-cost failure, like a compressor or heat exchanger, can turn profit into loss overnight.
Chill-Pro® protects the contractor from the financial impact of costly repairs, reimbursing the expenses of restoring covered equipment, including parts, labor, refrigerant, rigging, and more.
By shifting repair risk off your books, Chill-Pro® helps you confidently price service agreements that protect your margins instead of worrying about the next breakdown.
Your service agreement offers remain the same—with your pricing, terms, and customer relationships. Chill-Pro® works behind the scenes to support your business.
When equipment maintained under a service agreement fails, you file a claim. Your repair costs are reimbursed under the Chill-Pro® program, including labor, parts, refrigerant, rigging, and more.
Unplanned repair expenses no longer hit your bottom line. By managing financial risks, your service business stays profitable and predictable—even in your busiest months.
With Chill-Pro®, you can…
The Chill-Pro® program covers equipment from nearly all major HVAC and chiller manufacturers and models—including legacy systems—subject to underwriting.
Service contract insurance is a risk transfer tool. It provides mechanical service contractors with a safe way of offering their customers comprehensive service agreements without the financial risk of expensive repairs.
Customers want comprehensive service agreements. But selling comprehensive service agreements is unpredictable business. There WILL be Chiller/HVAC failures – some catastrophic and costly. Chill-Pro® service contract insurance makes this a fixed cost and gives you and your customer peace of mind.
You are financially protected against costs incurred when mechanical and electrical failures occur in any Chiller/HVAC unit you insure with Chill-Pro®. Chill-Pro® service contract insurance pays the mechanical contractor to return the unit to the condition it was in before it failed. This can include Parts, Labor, refrigerant, rigging, cranes, and truck charges on a unit-by-unit basis. A modest per unit deductible will apply.
This renewable insurance policy covers the complete A/C unit (including compressor, motor, starter/controls, refrigerant and heat exchangers) and the labor involved to repair it. It may also cover large pumps/motors and boilers. Overtime labor can also be covered. The coverage can be tailored as desired – specific units only, Parts Only, Labor Only, etc.
If there is a crack/rupture or other physical damage that causes leakage, then resultant leakage along with damage to the machine is covered. Leakage of refrigerant (or oil) such as pin hole leaks in tubes or condenser coils alone isn’t covered unless there’s resulting physical damage. Worn parts that have not yet failed are not covered.
Most commercial chiller/air conditioning units and boilers are eligible for coverage. Units 18+ years old may require documentation of oil, vibration or other non-destructive tests prior to being covered. Pumps/motors and air compressors can also be considered for coverage under Chill-Pro® service contract insurance.
The Chill-Pro® service contract insurance program has been paying claims promptly for over 35 years. Claims submitted with copies of contracts, proper receipts and invoices, and labor tickets are adjusted by insurance company engineers and paid within 45 days.
